The City of Fort Worth Municipal Court announces February is Warrant Forgiveness month.

Anyone who has outstanding citations with Fort Worth Municipal Court is invited to resolve their cases.
Persons who voluntarily take action on their cases in February may be eligible for alternatives, such as
community service or a reduction in their fine amount.
The “Court in the Community” initiative will bring the court into the community by visiting multiple areas
throughout the city.

From 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Feb. 2 and Saturday, Feb. 9, the A.D. Marshall Public Safety and Courts
Building in downtown Fort Worth, will host extended hours and free parking.
Fort Worth will conduct a Safe Harbor initiative - meaning residents may visit a Municipal Court location
without fear of arrest for outstanding warrants issued by the Fort Worth Municipal Court.

For more information on this initiative and other court information please visit
fortworthtexas.gov/municipalcourt/ or call the Court during business hours at 817-392-6700.

The legislature passed over 1,200 new laws this session, most of which go into effect Friday. Here is a list of some that may affect you:

You may be eligible to have your DWI conviction non-disclosed (sealed) if you meet the requirements of the law.

You will be able to hog hunt from a hot air balloon, carry a knife or sword longer than 5.5 inches (subject to a few exceptions), and own/possess silencers.

The following will be illegal: texting and driving (but you can’t be arrested for it); flying a drone or quadcopter over correctional facilities, detention centers, and sports venues; cyberbullying; be******ty; fake ambulances; and improvised explosive devices.

Assaulting, threatening, or otherwise attacking a police officer will be a hate crime.

Call me at (817) 789-1104 if you have been arrested, charged with a crime, or think you may be eligible for a non-disclosure or expunction.
