Yesterday, the L. Clifford Davis Legal Association was proud to host our Fall 2026 Expunction Clinic at the Como Community Center in partnership with Texas A&M University School of Law and Legal Aid of NorthWest Texas.

We are grateful to everyone who volunteered their time and expertise to help members of our community take meaningful steps toward a fresh start and a second chance. This is what service, access to justice, and community partnership look like in action! ⚖️❤️

Clifford Davis Legal Association, in partnership with Legal Aid of NorthWest Texas and Texas A&M University School of Law, is hosting our Fall 2026 Clean Slate Expunction Clinic to help eligible Tarrant County residents clear their criminal records and move forward with new opportunities.

Only the first 100 qualified applicants will be served.

A clean slate can open doors to employment, housing, and peace of mind. Share with someone who may need a second chance.

The first 25 eligible individuals served will receive basic estate-planning documents. You must be present to complete an intake and be assigned to an attorney.

Eligible applicants can receive assistance seeking a fresh start. Only Tarrant County charges will be accepted.

A Fort Worth native and proud graduate of historic Paul Laurence Dunbar High School, Judge Toliver’s remarkable legal career spans more than four decades of service. Before taking the federal bench in 2010, she served as an Assistant U.S. Attorney, prosecutor, appellate advocate, and chief of the Gang Prosecution Unit in Tarrant County.

Her commitment to justice extends well beyond the courtroom. Judge Toliver has dedicated her career to mentorship, education, reentry initiatives, and community service—and continues a powerful family legacy as the granddaughter of Grandmother of Juneteenth Opal Lee.

Her journey embodies exactly what we celebrate through this year’s theme:

Throughout his distinguished legal career, Attorney Gaines has remained a steadfast champion for voting rights, fair representation, and equal justice. His extensive work in election law and redistricting has shaped congressional, state, county, municipal, school board, and other electoral districts across Texas.

From representing clients in state and federal courts to providing leadership through the NAACP and State Bar of Texas, Attorney Gaines has dedicated his life to protecting our communities and strengthening the legal profession. His remarkable service has earned him numerous honors, including the Tarrant County Bar Association Professionalism Award and the Texas NAACP Heroes Award.
