In observance of Independence Day, our office will be closed on Thursday, July 3rd and Friday, July 4th. We will resume our regular business hours on Monday, July 7th.

USCIS issued a reminder about Biden's new parole in place program and stated it will start accepting applications on August 19. Applications submitted earlier will be rejected. USCIS also included a list of evidence that could be gathered now.

Some see the "life-changing" executive actions giving undocumented spouses and college graduates a path to legal status as a "big deal" that can also mobilize voters, including Latinos.

On June 18, 2024, President Biden announced certain individuals would be eligible for an affirmative relief program which would make these individuals eligible for work authorization and also provide a pathway lawful permanent residence here in the U.S. Additionally, the program would make it easier for DACA recipients (Dreamers) to apply for temporary visas, such as H-1B visas.

Please note, the program was recently announced and has not gone into effect. Further information will be released by the end of summer. Additionally, the program was created under the President's executive power and could be legally challenged so it is best to wait for further information and to consult with a qualified and experienced immigration attorney.
