Jeremy L. Reidy, JD, MBA - Business Attorney Jeremy L. Reidy, JD, MBA -- General counsel with emphasis on mergers, acquisitions, and other complex business transactions.

Professional:

I am a business lawyer with the Fort Wayne office of the national law firm Barnes & Thornburg, LLP. My practice consists of counseling businesses — in legal and business issues — in the growth and success of their ventures. There is really no area of business law I don’t do (with the exception of patent prosecution), but my passion is for mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, real

estate transactions and other transactions involving the buying, selling and expansion or winding down of business. Within those types of transactions are many areas of law — including, tax, employment, real estate, trademark, copyright, licensing, franchising and nonprofit law. Personal:

I am a Roman Catholic husband and father (3 kids with another on the way (any day as of this update)). I love spending time with my family, reading spiritual and philosophical works, Notre Dame football and Dayton Flyers basketball. Education:

JD, University of Dayton School of Law; MBA, Indiana University (IPFW); BS, Indiana University (IPFW)

I am excited to announce that effective Tuesday, October 1, 2013, I have moved my practice to the Fort Wayne office of Barnes & Thornburg.

Barnes & Thornburg is one of the 100 largest law firms in the U.S. with 12 offices nationally. While the firm has its roots in the Midwest, in recent years it has strategically grown beyond those borders into new markets including Atlanta, Minneapolis, Columbus and Los Angeles.

The firm is comprised of some of the most knowledgeable and experienced lawyers who counsel clients in more than 50 practice areas. These areas include Corporate and Real Estate; Litigation; Labor and Employment; Environmental; Finance, Insolvency & Restructuring; and Intellectual Property, to name a few. Barnes & Thornburg has much to offer clients of all sizes and geographies. For local and regional clients, where physical accessibility to their legal advisors is important, we offer all of the sophisticated skills developed through our national and international practices to provide local solutions.

For national and international clients more accustomed to hiring legal advisors based on experience and cost as opposed to physical location, we offer “money center” legal acumen and solutions at substantially lower costs than other national competitors.

To all of our clients, we offer the integrity, compassion and personal commitment typically associated with America’s heartland. We take time to learn about our clients and their businesses. We measure our success by the success of our clients. We do not take our success for granted, and we endeavor to earn it daily. Simply put, our value-driven approach is what clients should expect in their law firm.

The prospect of joining a relatively new office for an established, yet entrepreneurial, law firm like Barnes & Thornburg is an exciting personal opportunity, especially at a time when many other law firms are retrenching.

In addition to the economic advantages, firm clients gain access to the resources of more than 600 legal professionals throughout Atlanta, Chicago, Delaware, four Indiana cities, Los Angeles, Michigan, Minneapolis, Ohio and Washington, D.C. We have experience in virtually all the legal practice areas required to do business in today's global marketplace.

All these factors translate into direct benefit for clients and prospects – experienced lawyers can provide services at billing rates that are more competitive than other similarly situated firms. Middle-market consumers of legal services understand and appreciate this differentiation.
