I have been wanting to develop a peer based support group outside of a hospital setting for years now and I am so excited to shared that I have been working with Melissa at Redwood Inn and Jennifer with Mission: Motherhood who had the same feeling as I did to make this happen! Melissa is a mom with loss herself and has offered to host the adolescent and adult child loss meet ups at her store down town on Main St.

We will be hosting the postpartum depression/pregnancy and infant loss meet ups at our store out on Lima Rd.

And Jennifer is a postpartum depression survivor and has developed Mission: Motherhood to help build the idea that it takes a village to raise a mother.

We are so much stronger together and I am HONORED to be working with these women.

These meet ups will be just that. A safe place ( while the businesses are closed to the public ) for moms to come and share thier feelings and their loss with other moms who truly understand what they are going through. Largely in an effort to help moms feel less alone in their guilt and in their grief.

This will be casual peer lead conversation.

Today I finished my final Guardian Ad Litem case. I am pleased that we were able to bring the parties to an agreement. I am honored to have been able to serve in this capacity for over 23 years but it is time for me to move on. I am excited to work with people who are willing to try to come to a peaceful resolution. If you have friends or family who are in the middle of a divorce or struggling with a child custody or visitation matter I hope you will consider encouraging them to reach out to me. I am confident that my services are substantially more affordable than any attorney and generally much quicker and less painful than the court system.

Effective immediately I will no longer be accepting cases for Guardian Ad Litem work. I have decided that this goes against my mission of helping people come to peaceful resolutions as oftentimes these cases end up going to court resulting in a winner and a loser. Children are not property and I can no longer be a part of people fighting over them. If you know anyone who is struggling with child custody or visitation matters please don't hesitate to refer them to me so I can help them learn to co-parent peacefully.
