From a 24/7 crisis hotline and emergency shelter to community-based support that can last for years, we meet survivors and their children where they are and walk alongside them to reach safety, stability, and self-sufficiency. Our domestic violence services reach six northeast Indiana counties: Allen, DeKalb, Huntington, Noble, Wells, and Whitley. Our advocates work 1-on-1 with survivors of domestic violence, intimate partner violence, sexual assault, or other related forms of violence. YWCA Northeast Indiana is here to help individuals gain freedom from abuse. Our services are free. Our services are confidential. Our services are lifesaving.

My words are inadequate, but it has been my honor to be Of Counsel at Close & Hitchcock, LLP with this outstanding woman. Marcia enriched the lives of all who knew her: the colleagues she inspired, the younger attorneys she mentored, the clients she represented, the friends she made wherever she went, the community she volunteered to help, and the family she loved. We are heartbroken and all of us are less than we were before her absence.

It is with great sadness we must announce the passing of our dear friend and Of Counsel attorney Marcia Linsky. An inspiration to all, she leaves a void that will be impossible to fill. Please keep her family and friends in your thoughts as they navigate through the coming days and weeks.

To our clients, we assure you we will be reaching out soon, and we are determined to continue to provide you the same level of representation moving forward. Please be patient with us during this very difficult time as we also mourn the tragic and unexpected loss of our friend and colleague.

Emphasizing “stranger danger” is such a disservice to children. Statistically kids are far more likely to be molested by relatives, family friends and other trusted adults. Teach your kids about consent in an age-appropriate way.
