Last Tuesday was my one year anniversary as an Assistant Federal Public Defender. I was in Kansas City all week learning from amazing trial attorneys from around the country. I have been challenged and tested this last year but I made it. In addition to learning, we had some great food and went to some cool places. I am lucky and grateful.

Day 16 is a slideshow of some of the protests I participated in through the years. Today is Thanksgiving and it is also a day of mourning for Native People. We gotta remember the pain when people are oppressed and attacked. We gotta keep fighting for change.
