Walter supervised investigations involving felony crimes in a high crime urban New Jersey/New York City area. As a Director of Security and Investigations for a New York City Fortune 400 company he managed security and specialized investigations involving theft, fraud, due diligence, federal compliance, drug testing, and background investigations. In the private sector, Walter has directed an array of investigations and incident response assignments, including criminal defense and personal injury investigations, insurance fraud, domestic investigations, allegations of fraud, theft of trade secrets, insider misconduct, data breach and physical threats. Walter served as a lead advisor for US Department of State overseas police training programs where he taught investigative techniques and continues to consult to police agencies nationwide. He has been instrumental in solving high-profile cases and is frequently mentioned by criminologist Dr. Henry Lee for his investigative acumen. In 1993, Walter was appointed by the Governor of New Jersey to serve on various state commissions, and as Co-Chairman on the Governor's Transition Task Force. As an investigative specialist and police operations consultant he is frequently called upon by TV, radio and print media outlets to provide expert commentary. Walter has authored several articles in trade publications and has spoken at conferences and meetings. Walter has been recognized for his service by the New Jersey Senate, State Prosecutors, FBI and other investigative organizations. Walter is a Florida Board Certified Investigator and currently serves on the Executive Board of Directors for the Florida Association of Licensed Investigators (FALI) and is a member of other professional associations.
