I am actually trying to help a client NOT sell their house. We’ve exhausted every avenue with lender’s, credit unions, title, loans, credit cards, etc..
This client has a full-time job, has always worked (which does not mean has money or makes a lot) and owns the house outright. Unfortunately, when a storm hit, the home was not insured, therefore she cannot get refinanced or home equity line. Credit is not good and debt is high with student loans.
$20,000 is the amount needed for repairs.
