Compliance and fairness must coexist.

Employers are navigating a delicate balance: You must verify work authorization. You cannot discriminate based on nationality.

Both are legal obligations. The solution is not guesswork, it’s process.

✔ Standardized I-9 procedures
✔ Document-based verification
✔ Equal treatment across all employees

When systems are consistent, risk decreases. If your compliance process depends on “case-by-case judgment,” it’s time to formalize it.

We're proud to introduce Harry Polatsek, the Founder of Polatsek, Boheme & Wilkowski.

When Mr. Polatsek established the firm in 1983, he set out with a clear purpose: to provide principled, strategic immigration counsel to individuals, families, and companies building their futures in the United States. More than four decades later, that mission has never wavered.

With over 47 years of exclusive practice in U.S. immigration and nationality law, Harry has represented everyone from individual families to Fortune 500 companies. His specialties include:

▸ Multinational transfers (L-1)
▸ Investor & treaty trader visas (E-1, E-2)
▸ Professional employment visas (H-1B, TN, O, P)
▸ Family & employment-based immigrant visas
▸ Naturalization, complex waivers & removal defense

A graduate of the University of Wisconsin (with honors), the London School of Economics, and Brooklyn Law School (J.D., 1976), Harry has lectured widely on immigration policy and is admitted to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court, the Second and Eleventh Circuit Courts of Appeal, and courts across Florida and New York.

His legacy is not just the cases he has won — it is the thousands of lives he has helped move forward.

Under U.S. immigration law, registration requirements apply to noncitizens who remain in the United States for more than 30 days.

Executive Order 14159 reinforces that these obligations are not symbolic — they are enforceable.

Many individuals assume that if nothing has happened, everything is fine.
In structured enforcement environments, that assumption can be risky.

If you have questions about your registration status or reporting obligations, a proactive review can provide clarity and peace of mind.

Have a pending green card, asylum case, extension, or change of status?

Under U.S. immigration law, government notices are sent to the address on file.
If that address is outdated, you may never see a request for evidence, interview notice, or decision.

Missed correspondence can delay — or jeopardize — an otherwise approvable case.

If you have moved recently, confirm that your address is properly updated in all required systems.

Executive Order 14159 does not change Form I-9 requirements under immigration law.

However, increased enforcement focus may lead to closer review of records intersecting with immigration registration data.

Employers should ensure employment eligibility documentation aligns with federal immigration requirements.

Our firm assists employers with proactive immigration compliance audits and advisory services.

Under existing immigration statutes, failure to comply with registration or address-reporting requirements may result in civil fines, misdemeanor charges, denial of benefits, or removal proceedings.

Immigration law requires both substantive eligibility and procedural compliance.
If you are concerned about prior filings or potential gaps, it is advisable to speak with qualified immigration counsel.
