There are many ways to dismiss criminal charges. One defense is "No probable cause to arrest". The police have to have a reasonable belief that you committed a crime. The police officer’s reasonable belief must include objective, factual evidence, and circumstances. A police officer cannot arrest you because he has a “hunch” or a “feeling” that you kind of look like a drug dealer or someone who has committed a crime.
