An important part of your healing is giving up his name. That is his family name and you don’t need it. It is an important part of your healing journey to take back your maiden name and let all ties to him go.

Even if you share children, don’t keep his name because the kids have it. But you NEED to change yours because your ties to him are done on the day of your divorce.⁠⁠

9 Tips to Prepare for the Mediation of Your Dispute.

➡️ Tip #2: Be ready to make the first offer

Extensive research shows that the party making the first offer in a negotiation tends to be happier with the final settlement reached than the other party. This is due to what is called “anchoring”, where the first offer helps define the range of the negotiation to follow. So be prepared to seize the initiative and make the first offer. ⁠⁠⁠

Mr. Bernstein became a Certified Red Cross lifeguard at 15 years old and worked each summer until the start of law school when he was
21.

Recently, 46 years later, Mr. Bernstein challenged himself. Despite all odds, he passed the written examination and the strenuous in-water drills with high scores and flying colors!!

Congratulations to Mr. Bernstein for once again earning his certification as a Red Cross lifeguard 🛟
