That’s why estate planning matters.
Because protecting your family shouldn’t stop with you.

Becoming a parent changes the way you think about everything… especially protecting the life you’re building.

Most parents don’t realize that without the right legal plan, the state decides what happens to your children and your assets if something happens to you.

That’s exactly why we created a simple resource for parents.

Comment GUARDIANSHIP and I’ll send it to you.

As a mom of two and the Marketing Director at Yolofsky Law, this message is deeply personal to me.

Marketing Director hijacking the page for a moment…

I’ll be honest — this is a little more personal than what I usually post here.

I work behind the scenes at Yolofsky Law helping families learn about estate planning, but I’m also a mom of two. And once I learned something through my work here, it was hard for me not to share it.

Most responsible parents assume their wishes about guardianship would automatically be honored.

In Florida, they’re not — unless they’re properly documented.

That realization stopped me in my tracks as a parent. I couldn’t imagine leaving something that important to assumption, so I handled it for my own family.

That’s why we created a simple way for families to file a Pre-Need Guardianship Declaration.

It takes about ten minutes to fill out, and for less than what most families spend on a dinner out, you can make sure the court knows who you want raising your children if something ever happens.

If you’re a parent in South Florida, this is something worth taking a few minutes to look at.

Comment the word “Guardianship” and I’ll personally DM you the link.

They had fame, fortune, and success — but no will.

From music legends to Hollywood icons, countless famous figures left behind chaos instead of clarity because they never created an estate plan. Family disputes, years of litigation, and millions lost — all because their wishes weren’t written down.

You don’t need to be a celebrity to learn from their mistakes. A clear estate plan isn’t about wealth — it’s about protecting the people you love and ensuring your legacy lives on your terms.

Thinking about paying your team as 1099 contractors to “save on payroll taxes”? Think again.

It might sound like an easy shortcut, but classifying employees as independent contractors when they’re not is one of the most common (and costly) mistakes small businesses make. The IRS and state agencies are cracking down — and with today’s tech, the computer will flag it long before a human ever does.

Getting it wrong can mean back taxes, penalties, and interest that quickly add up — not to mention the risk to your business’s reputation.

The truth? Proper payroll management isn’t just about compliance — it’s about protecting your company and setting it up for sustainable growth.

Do it right from the start.

Can AI handle your legal decisions?

Technology is evolving fast, and while AI can be a helpful tool, it’s not a substitute for professional legal advice. Relying on AI alone for estate planning or legal guidance could lead to serious mistakes—and costly consequences.

Watch the video to find out what you can trust AI with, and where human judgment still matters most.

Looking for the right lawyer? Ask the right questions first.

There are three key things you should always focus on:
1️⃣ How does the lawyer bill?
2️⃣ What will you be billed for?
3️⃣ When will you be billed?

Transparency matters — and so does experience. You wouldn’t hire a generalist for a specialist’s job, so make sure the attorney you choose focuses on your specific area of need. Ask how long they’ve practiced in that field and what results they’ve achieved for clients like you.

The right lawyer doesn’t just represent you — they help you make confident, informed decisions about your future.

Surviving spouses—don’t miss this key estate planning opportunity.

When a spouse passes, their unused estate tax exemption can be transferred to the surviving spouse—but only if you file the right paperwork with the IRS. It’s called portability, and it could mean substantial savings for your family down the line.
