Jewish billionaire Moishe Mana is nearing a massive sale of his 30-acre Miami property to billionaire Ken Griffin, in a deal that could approach or even top $1 billion.
The Real Deal reports that sources believe most of the deal has already closed, with the rest expected to be completed by December. Mana and Griffin have not confirmed the deal, and both sides denied sale talks earlier this year.
The reported price ranges from more than $700 million to over $1 billion. If completed at that level, the sale could break the record for a major property deal of its kind in South Florida.
The property, known as Mana Wynwood, includes a large convention and event center in Miami’s fast-growing Wynwood neighborhood. Griffin is reportedly considering turning the property into a major technology and AI campus, possibly involving a university.
Mana still owns major properties elsewhere in Miami, including dozens of buildings around downtown’s Flagler Street. The potential Wynwood sale would give him a huge payday while leaving him with a major real estate footprint across the city.
