🚮CWD Collection Update

CWD’s plan is to complete as much trash collection as possible today, with remaining routes finished on Saturday. Residents must have trash at the curb today, as crews will not be able to rerun the entire city on Saturday.

Recycling will not be collected this week. To make up for the delay, CWD plans to double recycling service next week by collecting both A and B routes.

This evening, the Forney City Council unanimously accepted public improvements for the H-E-B project. H-E-B is officially set to open on Wednesday, January 28th.

The nearly 131,000-square-foot store, located at U.S. 80 and Gateway Boulevard (11700 US-80), will feature a world-class product assortment at H-E-B’s everyday low prices. The store will also include a full-service H-E-B Pharmacy, True Texas BBQ restaurant, and H-E-B Curbside and Home Delivery.

“We are thrilled to welcome H-E-B to Forney. This opening has been highly anticipated by our residents, and as a City, we look forward to their opening and to a strong community partnership,” said Mayor Jason Roberson.
