Barnes Law Firm, P.A. has tow (2) offices across the State of Mississippi. We’re located in Jackson (Flowood) and Gulfport. The Jackson office is, of course, our hub. It houses most of our attorneys and personnel. The attorneys in the Jackson office are Harris H. “Trip” Barnes, III, Will Janoush, and Lacey L. Bailey. The Gulfport office is “unmanned.” All of our attorneys have an LL.M. in taxation from leading institutions, all of which are consistently ranked in the top five (5) tax programs. Trip and Will attended the University of Florida, and Lacey went to Northwestern University. Our approach to the practice of law is founded on developing an individual relationship with each client. Our goal is to be large enough to provide effective legal services in complex areas of the law; but, not so large that we lose touch with the individual needs of our clients. We frequently work with CPA, law, financial firms, and insurance experts as a member of their Client Services Team. Such a "Team" approach not only provides the client with expertise in our specialized areas of the law, but also impresses the client as to the depth of the originating firm's resources. Our “boutique” tax practice allows us to have a more personal, intimate, and close relationship with each of our clients. We’re always willing meet at a moment’s notice and never mind going to the client. This close relationship is an extremely valuable resource. In our practice areas, many clients are very happy or very sad. The happy ones have accumulated enough wealth to necessitate more sophisticated planning. The sad ones are usually those with tax issues. Whether helping people plan their estates to ensure adequate liquidity and that particular assets stay in their family for generations or bringing people back from the brink of destruction due to tax liabilities exceeding hundreds of thousands of dollars, the relationship must be personal; after all, we’re helping people protect their very livelihoods. It doesn’t get more personal than that.
