Allyn Harrison, a very dear member of our D&E family, passed away on July 4. We adored “our Allyn.”

For more than 30 years, Allyn was our IT expert, faithfully caring for our firm’s technology. More importantly, he cared for us. He blessed us with his calm wisdom, loyal friendship, and steady presence.

Even as his health declined in recent years, Allyn never complained. Instead, he worked tirelessly to ensure our firm would be taken care of long after he stepped away, guiding the transition to our new IT company with the same dedication he had always shown.

Allyn was always there when we needed him. He took time to ask how you were doing and loved sharing stories about his grandchildren, his years at NASA, his beloved Helen, his church, and, of course, Texas Tech. He proudly wore red and black whenever he could—even his last car matched.

Although we hired him for IT, Allyn never hesitated to fix whatever needed fixing, whether it was a computer, a running toilet, or a faulty light switch. Serving others was simply who he was.

Everyone loved Allyn, and how could you not? We will miss him deeply and cherish the memories of this wonderful friend. Rest in peace, Allyn.

As we celebrate 250 years of American independence, we’re grateful for the opportunity to serve our community and the people who make it so special. Today is a time to reflect on our shared history, enjoy time with family and friends, and appreciate the freedoms that continue to shape our future.
