One of the hardest conversations we have every day is telling someone that our next available consultation may be several months away. We know you want guidance and reassurance as quickly as possible.

That wait isn’t because we’re trying to be exclusive. It’s because we’ve made a conscious decision about the kind of law firm we want to be.

Family law should not be about moving files from one desk to another. It should be about helping real people through some of the most difficult seasons of their lives. Every client who walks through our doors is more than a case number. You’re a parent worried about your children. A spouse facing an uncertain future. A family searching for stability.

To shorten our consultation wait times, we would have to take on more cases than we can reasonably handle. Many firms do exactly that. But we’ve never wanted to build a practice focused solely on the bottom line. We’d rather serve fewer clients well than many clients poorly.

That philosophy has led us to begin planning for the next chapter of Evans & Turnblad.

While nothing is final just yet, we’re hopeful that some exciting changes are on the horizon. Our goal isn’t simply to have a larger office. It’s to create the capacity to serve more families without sacrificing the personal attention that has always been at the heart of our practice.

Growth only matters if it allows us to serve people better.
