Although I definitely don't go by "R. Bradley" (I am now and have ALWAYS simply been Brad), I could not possibly be more honored to have been selected by the Alabama State Bar to attend the Leadership Forum in 2024.

The Leadership Forum is a dynamic and highly effective program for nurturing and developing leadership skills and values among a select group of qualified, promising attorneys each year. Entry to the program is competitive, with just 20-30 participants selected each year. Since its inception in 2005, the Leadership Forum has illuminated a pathway for more than 430 graduates to move the profession forward with ethical, servant-minded and community leadership.

Please consider joining me, Leigh Anne Landis, and the rest of the host committee on Tuesday, October 17 at 5:00 pm at the Gold Record Room for a fundraising reception benefitting District Judge Carole C. Medley and Justice Sarah Stewart, who are running for Circuit Judge of Lauderdale County and Chief Justice of the Alabama Supreme Court, respectively. We truly hope to see you there!

I want to thank EVERYONE who shared our job announcement. We had an incredible response and innumerable candidates who were beyond qualified, making our decision very difficult.

Honored to have been featured with Shoals Young Professionals!

Brad Phillips is a Shoals-area native. A local attorney whose private practice focuses on criminal defense and the planning and administration of estates, the vast majority of his time is spent in his office or in the courtroom. In Brad’s spare time he enjoys working as an adjunct professor at the Birmingham School of Law and going to shows.

With both his office and his residence in the Downtown Florence area, you will likely spot him, his wife, Leigh Anne Landis, and Sparrow, their standard poodle, in the entertainment district or volunteering at the Shoals Community Theatre, where Brad is the Board President.

Why does Brad suggest you join Shoals YP? The opportunity to connect with like-minded individuals, all of whom are seeking to make the Shoals a great place to live.
