Finder's keepers? A legal battle over who owns a $1M lottery ticket in Arkansas stirs up quite a controversy over issues of personal property. Sharon Duncan purchased a winning lottery ticket but discarded it after the lottery scanner mistakenly said the ticket was not a winner. It was found in the trash by Sharon Jones and she won $680,000 after taxes. The Court found in favor of Duncan, stating that Jones's possession of the ticket did not mean that Duncan abandoned her right to claim the $1M prize.
