Due to inclement weather and specifically expected snowfall tonight combined with freezing conditions, Superior Court will be closed tomorrow, Thursday 12/30, all locations. We are already scheduled to be closed Friday 12/31 in observance of New Year’s.

DVPO matters will be reissued/continued to Monday or, if there has been no service on Respondent, to a later date. Family law motions will also be continued, most likely to the next court day or to the next available court date. If you have agreed continuance orders you may submit them to the “Orders for Review” queue, but bear in mind it may take some time for the queue to be reviewed, so you may also want to contact family law staff via email to inform the FL department, as well.

Be safe out there, and avoid the icicles!

Labor Day isn’t just a three-day weekend to celebrate the end of summer and beginning of the school year for kids and their parents. The holiday is rooted in the late nineteenth century, when labor activists pushed for a federal holiday to recognize the many contributions workers have made.
