Real Estate Closing Assistant/Transaction Coordinator (30-40 hours per week)
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Real Estate Closing Assistant to support
our busy real estate law practice. This position plays an important role in preparing files for
closing, maintaining accurate records, communicating with clients and assisting the team with transaction management. The ideal candidate is professional, dependable,
comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, and eager to learn the real estate closing process.
Primary responsibilities:
• Review and verify seller documents for completeness and accuracy
• Scan and upload documents into electronic files
• Prepare and print closing packages for closings
• Communicate with real estate agents, buyers, and sellers regarding routine
transaction information and scheduling
As experience and knowledge develop, this position will also:
• Order mortgage and lien payoff statements
• Assist with post-closing requests and follow-up tasks
• Review files at scheduling to ensure basic readiness and identify missing items
• Assist with incoming client phone calls and routine inquiries
• Respond to basic email requests
Qualifications:
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize deadlines
• Professional and courteous customer service skills
• Experience in a law firm, title company, mortgage company or real estate
environment is preferred
Compensation commensurate with experience and schedule (range $20-25/hour or
$31,000-44,000 salary)
