Real estate is wild y’all

One night I was up way too late working because apparently the hustle never sleeps… scrolling Facebook and somehow won a referral from an out-of-state agent who specifically wanted someone with a military background. Tiny problem… I do NOT have one 😂

I was honest.... Told him I’m not a veteran or military spouse, BUT I know this area, I know this market, and I know I could help his buyer PCS here with confidence.

Fast forward a few months later and I finally met my client in person. We spent a few days house hunting (my favorite part 🙌), found the one, submitted an offer… and somehow this transaction was SO smooth.

Please please please be careful when you sign any sort of contract.

We had a client today who signed a lease with option to purchase, has been living in the house since 2018, got a civil summons for taxes owed since 2018, turns out the lease with option to purchase they signed was with a 3rd party who does NOT have any rights to the property….theyve given this 3rd party around $35k over the years to pay the property down before they could exercise their lease with option to purchase.

Always due your due diligence, if an attorney tells you a title search is best, please listen. Better to pay the $400 fee than to spend $35k on a fraudulent scheme.
