Sometimes life hits you from every direction at once.

That’s how I met Renee.

I was appointed by the court to represent her as a Special Public Defender in a criminal case. She didn’t choose me, and she wasn’t a paying client.

But that should never determine how much effort, respect, or compassion someone receives.

Then, on the day Renee was scheduled to enter her plea, her husband passed away.

Suddenly, the criminal case wasn’t the most important thing happening in her life.

She was grieving. She had already been through a lot. And more than anything, I wanted to help her get through it.

We eventually resolved that case while keeping a conviction from going on her record from that matter.

Later, Renee found herself facing a DWI. This time, she did have a choice in who represented her.

She chose Wulfers Law Firm LLC.

We fought that case too, and were able to get her through it with a favorable result.

A few weeks ago, Renee left us this review:

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

“Never really cared for lawyers. However, Mr. Wulfers is the exception. He genuinely cares for his clients. Mr. Wulfers is professional and personable!! He walked me through the whole process, I never felt in the dark of what was to be next. If I had questions he never failed to respond, even after he was done with my case. Affordable, respectful, felt like family. Hopefully, I never need him again. However if in need Mr. Wulfers is who I will be calling!! Thanks 😊”

Of everything she wrote, this is what means the most to me:

“He genuinely cares for his clients.”

Because that's exactly what I want my firm to be known for.

People usually walk through our doors during some of the hardest moments of their lives. Sometimes they made a mistake. Sometimes they're accused of something they didn't do. And sometimes life has simply hit them from every direction at once.

Whatever your circumstances, you still deserve kindness. You still deserve dignity. And you deserve a lawyer who remembers there is a human being behind the case number.

Renee, I hope you never need me again either. 😊

But I’m grateful you trusted me when you did.

If you believe people deserve an attorney who will fight for them without forgetting to care about them, follow Wulfers Law Firm LLC and share our page. You never know who in your life may need someone in their corner someday.

“You changed my life.”

Those might be the most meaningful four words I’ve heard from a client.

I ran into Ronald at Country Days about a month ago. He walked up to me, and I genuinely didn’t recognize him at first. He looked like a completely different person.

Today, Ronald is 2 years and 8 months sober. He successfully graduated Drug Court, and his felony charges were dismissed.

When I first met Ronald, he was facing felony criminal charges and an uncertain future. Today, I’m standing next to a man who put in the work, got sober, completed the program, and earned his second chance.

He deserves the credit for changing his life. I was fortunate enough to be his lawyer and help him navigate the legal system along the way.

Criminal defense can involve some long days and difficult cases. Hearing a former client look you in the eye years later and say, “You changed my life,” is the kind of moment that reminds me why I chose this profession.

A criminal charge does not have to define the rest of your life.

If you or someone you love has been arrested or is facing a DWI, drug charge, felony, or other criminal case in Southeast Missouri, call Wulfers Law Firm LLC.

We fight the charge — but we also fight for the person behind it.

💰 ANOTHER WORKERS’ COMP CLIENT PAID THIS WEEK! ⚖️

The checks keep coming at Wulfers Law Firm LLC.

This client suffered a hernia while working a construction job. After working through the workers’ compensation issues—including claims involving two different employers—we were able to secure him a five-figure settlement.

And most importantly, he walked out of our office with his check in hand.

If you get hurt at work, don’t assume you have to handle the insurance company—or a complicated employment situation—on your own.

🚨 NEW PATH TO RESTORE FEDERAL FIREARM RIGHTS

For decades, many people with prior felony convictions or other federal firearm disabilities have had little or no practical avenue to restore their federal Second Amendment rights.

That is changing.

On August 17, 2026, the U.S. Department of Justice announced the final rule establishing a new process under 18 U.S.C. § 925(c) for eligible individuals to apply for restoration of their federal firearm rights.

The program will be rolled out in stages, with DOJ beginning to accept candidates after the rule is published and eventually opening an online application process.

Not everyone will qualify, and restoration is not automatic. An applicant's criminal history, conduct, rehabilitation, character, and potential risk to public safety may all matter.

If you have an old conviction that has prevented you from legally possessing a firearm, this may provide a new avenue for relief.

Wulfers Law Firm LLC will be closely following the rollout of this program and evaluating potential applicants for eligibility.

📞 Contact our office if you would like to discuss whether restoration of your firearm rights may be an option.

Most people will look at this picture and think…

“It’s just a little cut.”

They’re right.

This photo was taken after I nicked my big toe on vacation.

But what they don’t see is what happened years ago.

While working for a landscaping company, I was sitting on the wheel well of a trailer. The driver popped the clutch, causing the trailer to jerk forward. My foot was pulled into the tire, and the trailer folded my foot in half.

I suffered a Lisfranc injury—a severe injury to the middle of the foot that permanently changed the way I walk.

I underwent 2 surgeries, received 4 plates, 2 pins, and 256 stitches, and spent years wondering whether my foot would ever function normally again.

I was fortunate to keep it.

What I didn’t realize back then was that the accident wouldn’t just affect me for years.

It would affect me for life.

This tiny cut forced me to change the way I walked to avoid putting pressure on my toe. Because of the permanent damage from my Lisfranc injury, that small adjustment threw everything else off. Walking on uneven sand in Cancun and compensating for that little cut left me with some of the worst calf cramps I’ve ever experienced.

All because of something most people would dismiss as “just a cut.”

That experience reminded me why I care so deeply about helping injured people.

When someone is hurt, family and friends usually ask about the broken bone or the surgery.

Very few people ask about the mornings when it hurts just to take the first step out of bed.

They don’t ask about the limp that shows up after a long day.

They don’t ask about the activities you quietly stop doing because they hurt too much.

They don’t ask about the constant adjustments your body makes just to get through an ordinary day.

Those are the things that don’t show up on an X-ray.

But they’re often the hardest part of living with an injury.

As a personal injury attorney, I see insurance companies evaluate claims by looking at medical records and bills.

What those records can’t fully capture is how an injury changes your everyday life.

Maybe that’s why these cases mean so much to me.

I’ve lived through one.

If you’ve been injured because someone else’s negligence changed your life, don’t assume you just have to “live with it.” Your story matters, and the lasting effects of an injury deserve to be heard.

If you have questions about an injury claim—even if you’re not sure you have a case—I’d be happy to talk with you.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Client Success Story

One of the biggest misconceptions about workers’ compensation claims is:

“The insurance company already made me an offer, so I probably don’t need an attorney.”

Sometimes, that decision can cost you thousands of dollars.

This review means a lot to me because I’ve known Sarah for years—long before I ever became an attorney. We first met when I was in the car business. Even though she worked in the St. Louis area, when she needed legal help with a personal workers’ compensation matter, she trusted me to represent her.

Here’s what she had to say:

“My employer gave me an offer. I hired Patrick, and after his fee I got more than double the original offer. Would highly recommend.”

Relationships matter. Trust matters. And when someone who has known you for years puts their confidence in you during one of the most difficult times in their life, that’s something I never take for granted.

If you’ve been injured on the job, don’t assume the first offer is the best offer. Before you sign anything, make sure you understand your rights and the value of your claim.

Sarah, thank you for trusting me—not just as someone you knew from years ago, but as your attorney. I’m grateful we were able to achieve such a great result for you.
