Today, we honor and remember the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to the United States. Their sacrifice helped protect the freedoms, opportunities, and sense of hope that have drawn generations of immigrants to this country.

America’s story has always been shaped by people from all over the world searching for safety, opportunity, and a better future for their families. Many immigrants have also proudly served in the U.S. Armed Forces, standing beside fellow service members in defense of the country they now call home.

It’s also an opportunity to reflect on the enduring contributions of Chinese immigrants to the United States.
