✨ Employee Spotlight: Alexandra Berkland✨

We took our spotlight series abroad to one of our Project Manager’s in Germany, Alexandra Berkland.

💭 On life at Sandline: "It's so refreshing because everyone here is genuinely kind and incredibly talented. I learn so much from the people around me, I feel supported, and the friendly atmosphere is something I notice every day."

Recently, she took on a complex set of client search terms — long and tricky to break apart. She normalized them carefully, preserving the integrity of what the client set out to achieve, and built reporting that was clear, professional, and easy on the eyes. 📊

A few surprises? Alexandra is a licensed attorney, former bartender, and certified yoga instructor — and was once shortlisted for a one-way ticket to Mars. 🚀 Outside of work, she's with her husband and twin toddlers, exploring new cities and villages, hiking, reading fantasy novels, and cooking. A true foodie, she loves a farmer's market, a good run or yoga session, and any excuse to travel. 🌍

Glad to have you, Alexandra! 🙌

✨ Employee Spotlight ✨

Some people wait for the right moment to try something new — Kristopher Jackson just jumps in.

Outside of work, Kris is all about the people and passions that keep life full: quality time with loved ones, a deep love of music, and staying active with just about any sport you can name — golf, basketball, pickleball, you name it.

And here's a fun one that might surprise you: music runs deep in the family. Kris's father was the lead singer of Surface, the iconic R&B group behind hits like "The First Time" and "Shower Me with Your Love." 🎵 Growing up surrounded by that legacy is a big part of who Kris is today.

Tomorrow, June 4, Sandline Global will be attending Lambda Legal's 2026 Liberty Awards National Dinner at The Glasshouse in New York City.

We're proud to support an organization that has spent decades advancing equality, justice, and civil rights through advocacy, education, and impact-driven legal work. Events like the Liberty Awards are a powerful reminder of what can be accomplished when people come together in service of a larger purpose.

This year's honorees, Annette Bening and Kara Swisher, have each used their platforms to champion meaningful change and advocate for others—qualities we admire and are honored to celebrate.

If you'll be attending, we'd love to connect.

We’re proud to spotlight the incredible Sandline Global team helping drive our growth across Germany and the broader European market. Their expertise, dedication, and commitment to delivering exceptional client outcomes continue to strengthen our presence throughout the region.

Recently, CEO Jon Canty and Senior Director of Client Advisory Rylan Goch spent several days in Frankfurt with our German colleagues, Ralf Kaiser, CTO, Oliver Hassler Business Development Manager, and Alexandra Berkland Project Manager, connecting with clients, exploring new opportunities, and reinforcing the relationships that make our work so rewarding. As Rylan Goch noted, Germany offered no shortage of warm hospitality—and yes, plenty of schnitzel along the way.

With exciting opportunities on the horizon, we’re energized by the momentum we're building across Germany and the EU and look forward to continuing to support legal teams with agile, high-quality eDiscovery, forensic, and advisory solutions.

Next up for Rylan: London International Disputes Week (LIDW), where he'll be connecting with legal industry leaders and discussing the evolving challenges and opportunities shaping disputes and investigations worldwide.

✨ If you're attending London International Disputes Week (LIDW), be sure to reach out—we'd love to connect.

✨ Employee Spotlight ✨

This week, we're shining a light on one of the incredible people who make Sandline Global such a special place to work.

When she's not supporting clients, you can find Lauren hosting family game nights, cooking for loved ones, or curled up with a good book — and of course, keeping up with her Australian Shepherd, Finnegan! 🐾 Oh, and did we mention she's the proud builder of a 7,500-piece Lego Millennium Falcon?

On what she loves most about Sandline:

💬 "It creates a culture where you never feel alone and know you have wonderful colleagues."

And her approach to client support says it all:

💬 "Sandline and our clients are a team."

We're so grateful to have her on ours. 🙌

763 hours of review time saved. 93.2% recall. 100% precision.

When a boutique UK law firm faced a 70,000+ document review on a tight timeline, they turned to Sandline Global to deploy a Technology-Assisted Review (TAR 2.0) workflow using Continuous Active Learning.

The result?

Nearly half the document population was accurately predicted by the model — eliminating the need for manual review — while exceeding industry benchmarks for defensibility.

That’s a wrap on the ABA Litigation Summit in Boston. Sandline colleagues enjoyed networking sessions, dine arounds, and even a Red Sox game. ⚾

Several themes emerged over the past few days:

First, the focus around AI has shifted from adoption to responsible governance. Sessions on AI risk and governance, deepfakes, AI bias, and practical litigation use cases reinforced the growing emphasis on defensibility, transparency, and how these tools hold up in real-world disputes.

Second, proportionality and discovery remain front and center. There was a strong emphasis on controlling cost and burden, with a focus on narrowing scope, managing discovery disputes, and using technology to drive efficiency without compromising outcomes.

Additional sessions emphasized how courts help resolve high-stakes disputes fairly, with judges acting as a check on power, and why trust in legal institutions matters.

And finally, despite all the attention on emerging technology, fundamentals still matter. Storytelling at trial, expert preparation, and in-house legal-outside counsel collaboration were recurring reminders that effective lawyering is still built on judgment, preparation, and ex*****on.

💡The future of litigation is AI integrated into legal strategy, with defensibility and human judgment at the center.

Great conversations throughout the conference, and always valuable to connect with peers thinking through where litigation and discovery are headed next.
