⚠️‼️Big news for H-1B employers and hopeful applicants:

DHS is proposing a $103,265 fee on every cap-subject H-1B petition - yes, even ones using the advanced degree (master's) exemption. It would be due when you file, stacked on top of all the fees already required.

Why? DHS says the money would help fund the systems behind the immigration process - adjudications, security vetting, technology upgrades, and more. They estimate it could bring in about $8.8 billion a year.

The good news: this isn't final yet. It's a proposed rule, and the process isn't finished. But if your organization sponsors H-1B workers, now is the time to start planning, not after it's finalized.

⚠️ Major USCIS policy change effective TODAY (Aug. 5, 2026):

USCIS officers can now DENY immigration applications outright - without first issuing a Request for Evidence (RFE) or Notice of Intent to Deny (NOID) - if a filing is incomplete or doesn't establish eligibility at the time it's submitted.

What this means for you:

❌ No more "second chances" to fix a missing document
❌ A denial means lost filing fees, lost time — and possibly lost status
❌ The policy applies to cases already pending, not just new filings

Your initial submission is now your one opportunity to make your case. Before you file, make sure every piece of required initial evidence is included and your eligibility is fully documented.

Kublan Khan PLC - August 5, 2026 U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) announced a significant policy change today that affects anyone filing

📣‼️Big news for anyone facing separation in Virginia.‼️📣

Starting July 1, 2026, you no longer have to wait a year, or accuse your spouse of cruelty or desertion, just to get into court.

Under the new law (HB 303), either spouse can file for a "bed and board" divorce on the very first day of separation. That means faster access to:

✅ Temporary child custody and visitation orders
✅ Child support and spousal support
✅ Exclusive possession of the family home
✅ Protection against a spouse draining accounts or selling property

You'll still need to complete the normal separation period (one year, or six months with no minor children and a written agreement) before your divorce can be finalized. But you no longer have to go through those months without the court's protection.

Also new: adultery that happens *after* separation can no longer be used as a fault ground for divorce.
