Are you a good, capable father in Massachusetts who has been told you will never get overnights, or that child support will leave you financially ruined if you file for custody? You are not alone: and that fear is often used to keep you silent. In Massachusetts, family courts do not automatically favor mothers. The law focuses on one central standard: the best interests of the child. Massachusetts courts recognize that children benefit from active, meaningful involvement from both parents. When it comes to overnights, fit and loving fathers have every right to shared parenting time. And child support? It is calculated using a clear, formula-based guideline in Massachusetts that takes both parents' incomes and your actual parenting time into account. You don't have to navigate this in the dark, and you don't have to live in constant fear of losing your relationship with your kids. Clarity brings confidence. If you are feeling overwhelmed, let us help you understand how the law actually protects your rights as a father. What is one question you have about parenting time or custody in Massachusetts? Drop it in the comments below.

When I started this journey not too long ago...i sat on my couch and literally doodled what I thought my logo should be. And quite literally...thats how it happened. A hand drawn S..an infinity symbol..doves..and fun lettering. Well after tons of feedback. Looks like we may be updating our logo. Almost 3 years later might be time to take all of this journey and make it grown up. Can still make them in blue and pink. Thoughts?

Thoughts? Happy to get pink if they would be wanted. Thoughts on shade of blue? PS it should be noted that the pink has glitter in the infinity symbol. Atty. Kapitzke made sure of that haha

Summer should be about making memories, not deciphering legal jargon. But for many co-parents, vague language in a parenting plan can turn July into a major headache. We often see disputes where simple terms lead to complex conflicts. Here is why specific details matter: 1. Travel vs. Location: Does your agreement restrict where you go, or just when? Without explicit limits, you shouldn't be grounded, but vague wording leads to unnecessary friction. 2. The Notice Trap: Does a 30-day notice rule apply to picking dates or your travel destination? Misapplying these rules can derail an entire vacation. 3. The Extracurricular Clash: When tournament schedules drop late, who wins? Without clear priorities, family milestones like anniversaries often clash with sports. Navigating these gray areas is stressful and costly. Protecting your peace of mind starts with specific terms that leave no room for doubt. Have you ever run into a "gray area" that caused a summer snag?

To the mom navigating the quiet shifts of a new chapter: we see you. 🤍

Transition isn't just about moving from point A to point B. It’s about the moments in between, the deep breaths before a transition day, the resilience it takes to keep things steady for your kids when you’re still healing, and the courage to redefine what "home" looks like.

Some days feel like a win. Other days, just getting through the schedule is the win. Both count. Both are proof of your incredible strength.

Co-parenting and starting over require a level of grace that isn't always easy to find, but you’re showing up and doing the work. Even when it feels heavy, please know you are doing a great job. Your resilience is building a foundation for a brighter, more peaceful future for you and your family.

What’s one small thing you’ve done for yourself this week to recharge? Let’s share some ideas in the comments. 👇

May 1st is just a few days away. If you have a parenting plan in Massachusetts, you know exactly why that date is circled on the calendar. 🗓️

It’s the standard deadline for choosing your summer vacation weeks. But here’s where things can get tricky: what happens if you and your co-parent both want that same prime week in July?

Without a "tie-breaker" clause, this simple scheduling conflict can turn into a high-stress battle or an expensive last-minute court date.

The best way to keep the peace? An alternating choice schedule. For example, one parent gets first pick in even years, and the other gets first pick in odd years. It’s simple, fair, and saves everyone a lot of heartache (and legal fees).

If your current plan feels a bit vague or you’re already hitting a wall with summer scheduling, we’re here to help you find clarity. Let’s make sure your summer is about making memories, not managing conflict. ☀️
