We have started a team for this years American Cancer Society “Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk” at Sherwood Island on Sunday, October 16 at 10am. We are hoping to raise money for this great cause and become more active in our community. This is a great event for our children to get involved in and support the many survivors and warriors fighting breast cancer. They will have activities and vendors after the walk. So hopefully you and your family can join us to spread the AJLA name in the community!

So I will be doing some baking and coquito making this weekend…. Many of you may have realized that since the kids I have scaled back a lot. But this year is a little different. Dalton’s school is holding a bake sale on Tuesday, December 14th, from 11am to 3pm. At $1.00 a treat. The 2nd grade students decided that they would hold this bake sale in order to benefit the people of Tanzania get clean water. So they have chosen all proceeds to benefit the Maji Movement where it costs $100 to buy a water filter. They need to sell 100 treats for 1 filter but each one helps. If you are interested in making a donation please let me know. Or if you have a special request for some of my famous treats for a donation to this cause please let me know as well. Please note coquito will not be sold at the bake sale lol.
