South Central Georgia Foundation Our South Central Georgia Foundation began with a simple calling: to serve children, their families & the homeless. The Drifters, Inc.

Today as an international Christian foundation we continue that mission to serve with love, uplifting those in need locally & globally. ❤️ was conceived in Waco, Texas in 1954. By December, the first chapter was established in Chicago. During the next two years, chapters were organized in Louisville, Indianapolis, St. Louis, New York and Greater Kansas City. e Drifters, Inc. was hosted by the Chicago Chapter at the Sheraton-Chicago Hotel from October 11-13, 1957. Over the years, The Drifters, Inc. continues to be in the public focus – not only because of our unique charitable, civic, and social involvement – because we continue our on-going commitment to serve as role models and to enhance the universal image of womanhood in the cities where we reside. We have 32 Chapters throughout the United States. We are excited to represent the women of the South Central Georgia chapter, also known as the "Sizzling Sisters of South Central Georgia."

The Links, Incorporated proudly honors Black History Month. It has been 100 years since Negro History Week made its debut in 1926. We must continue to preserve our history, recognize our contributions and celebrate our culture. This month and always, let’s continue to lift our voices and boldly demonstrate Black excellence in every arena.

The Atlanta Falcons are taking flight toward a brighter and more inclusive future.Team owner Arthur M. Blank recently announced the addition of four history-making limited partners to the ownership group for the Atlanta Falcons, including iconic gymnast Dominique Dawes and powerhouse film producer Will Packer. This move is a significant shift for the NFL, one that prioritizes diversity, representation, and impactful leadership.

Dominique Dawes is already a legend. As a member of the 1996 Atlanta Olympics gymnastics team, she became the first African American woman to win Olympic gold in the sport. Her impact extends far beyond the medals, though. Dawes has always been driven to inspire others and leave a lasting positive mark.

Thank you Fulton County for your wonderful community service!

Voter Registration Day was Tuesday, September 17, and the Fulton County Voter Education Outreach team was out in full force. By the end of the day, the team had registered more than 300 people.

The team of outreach specialists and deputy registers hit the road traveling throughout north and south Fulton County and the Metro Atlanta. From sunrise to well past sunset, teams of workers visited dozens of locations including area schools and universities.

The deadline to register to vote for the November 5 Election is Monday, October 7. www.mvp.sos.ga.gov
