⚖️ New Hampshire DWI Stops Over Labor Day Weekend
New Hampshire law enforcement agencies are increasing impaired-driving patrols through Labor Day as part of the national “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” campaign.

If a driver is stopped, it is important to understand that a roadside preliminary breath test is not the same as post-arrest testing under New Hampshire’s implied-consent law. Our latest article explains that distinction, the test-refusal penalties in effect during 2026, and the changes taking effect January 1, 2027, under Senate Bill 620.

The article also covers administrative license suspension, the 30-day deadline to request a review or hearing, and upcoming changes affecting certain high-BAC aggravated DWI cases.

Not every New Hampshire divorce needs to become a prolonged court battle—but reaching an agreement requires more than simply agreeing that the marriage should end.

An uncontested divorce means both spouses have resolved every material issue, including property, debts, alimony, parenting arrangements, and child support when applicable.

A divorce is contested when even one material issue remains unresolved and may need to be decided through negotiation, mediation, or court proceedings.

Our latest article explains:

⚖️ The difference between a joint petition and an uncontested divorce
⚖️ What must be resolved for a divorce to be uncontested
⚖️ How New Hampshire handles property, alimony, parenting, and support
⚖️ What happens when spouses cannot reach a complete agreement
⚖️ How a contested divorce can later become uncontested

Massachusetts OUI vs. New Hampshire DWI: What’s the Difference?

Massachusetts calls it OUI. New Hampshire calls it DWI. But the differences go far beyond the terminology.

License suspensions, chemical testing, refusal consequences, first-offense penalties, and administrative procedures can vary significantly depending on which side of the state line an arrest occurs.

That can be especially important for people who live in Massachusetts and work or travel in New Hampshire or vice versa.

Our latest article breaks down some of the key differences between Massachusetts OUI and New Hampshire DWI laws, including what drivers should know about cross-border license consequences.

Can you move out of state with your child after divorce?

A new job, more affordable housing, family support, remarriage, or a fresh start may make relocation seem like the right next step. When children are involved, however, moving may affect much more than your address.

A proposed move may change:

⚖️ Parenting schedules
⚖️ School arrangements
⚖️ Transportation responsibilities
⚖️ Holiday and vacation plans
⚖️ The child’s relationship with the other parent

New Hampshire and Massachusetts each have their own legal standards for relocation cases. The process may depend on the current parenting arrangement, the reason for the move, and how the relocation may affect the child.

Our latest article explains what parents may need to consider before moving and what may happen when the other parent objects.
