Patrick Tolley joined the firm in 2024. Patrick concentrates his practice in the areas of civil litigation, personal injury, family law, estate planning and residential real estate.

Patrick received his bachelors in Applied Behavioral Sciences from Western Michigan University in 2020. Before going to law school, Patrick was a teacher at St. Cajetan Elementary School. Patrick then attended the University of Illinois Chicago, School of Law and graduated in 2025.

Patrick volunteered throughout his time at UIC as a moot court judge and participated in the Trial Advocacy Program. In his spare time, Patrick enjoys rooting for the Chicago Blackhawks and hanging out with friends and family.

Mike Golden concentrates his practice in the areas of criminal law, civil rights violations, injury and death cases, probate, estate planning, and real estate transactions.

Mike earned his Juris Doctorate with High Honors from IIT Chicago-Kent College of Law in 1990, his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Marquette University in 1987, and is a graduate of Marist High School.

Mike joins Scannell & Associates after a 27 year career with the Cook County State's Attorney's Office where he spent time as the Chief of the Special Prosecutions Bureau as well as Supervisor of the Public Corruption and Financial Crimes Unit and Supervisor of the South Suburban Complex Homicide and Gangs Unit. In addition to his extensive trial experience, Mike has briefed and argued numerous cases in the Illinois Appellate Courts, including four cases before the Illinois Supreme Court. In 2016, he received the Mitch Mars Prosecutorial Excellence Award from the Chicago Crime Commission. Prior to working for the State's Attorney's Office, Mike served as a Judicial Law Clerk to Justice William G. Clark of the Illinois Supreme Court.

Bill Leslie joined us after a distinguished career as a civil law trial attorney with the Illinois Attorney General's office, where he supervised the Chicago Metro Unit. Bill is a member of the United States Supreme Court Bar, the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals Bar, and the Federal Trial Bars for the Northern, Central, and Southern Districts of Illinois. Bill concentrates his practice in Family Law, including child support and divorce, employment discrimination, administrative hearings, commercial and business litigation, and probate, as well as real estate transactions, estate plans, and landlord-tenant issues.

Bill is a graduate of Quigley South High School, where he was a four-time conference baseball champion, and the University of Illinois Champaign-Urbana, where he was inducted as a member of the Political Science Honorary Fraternity. Bill played for the University Rugby Club, and paid his own way, working multiple jobs. Bill then attended DePaul University Law School, where he clerked for several law firms before joining the Illinois Attorney General's office, where he worked under Attorneys General Neil Hartigan, Roland Burris, Jim Ryan, and Lisa Madigan.

Bill is married to the 3-time Chairperson of the South Side Irish Parade, Marianne Rowan Leslie, and is the proud father of four children. Bill has the distinction of having two children play for national championships in Rugby in two different countries: daughter Tara, an Irish citizen, played for the National Championship of Ireland twice for the Galway Tribeswomen in Women's Senior Rugby, while son Griffin played for the Western Michigan University Broncos in the National Men's D-2 final in 2019.
