đŸ“¢ALERT! The House Passes the VETT Act!

We are thrilled to inform you that the VSO Equal Tax Treatment (VETT) Act has passed the House of Representatives! AMVETS has been leading the charge on this for nearly seven years.

National Commander Horace Johnson and your team of advocates were on Capitol Hill as bill (H.R.1432) was considered under suspension of the rules late Tuesday afternoon. House Ways and Means Committee Chairman Jason Smith (MO) and Representatives Danny K. Davis (IL) and Brad Wenstrup (OH) spoke in support of the bipartisan bill. With more than 2/3 support of those present, the bill was successfully moved forward.

Our legislative team in DC is still working hard on the Senate side to get this legislation passed this year. We are almost there!

We couldn't have gotten this far without you, and we are so grateful for your help.
