Now that our receptionist has started her maternity leave, we are looking for someone to replace her. We are looking for a friendly, out-going person to handle the receptionist desk and phones, with light secretarial work. This is a full-time, permanent position. Our office will be "open" again on Monday, June 29th! Although we won't be quite back to "normal," our doors will be open and Martie will be waiting to greet you when you come in! Closings will continue as they have the last few weeks with no large "round table" gatherings, and masks will still be required.We're looking forward to this next step toward normal!

We're officially in the "yellow" phase now here in Erie County. Not much has changed for us, though. Atty. Shimek and his paralegal will still be working remotely as much as they can. Our front doors are still locked and only open to clients by appointment. Please wear your mask - we'll have hand sanitizer and disinfecting wipes available. Our real estate group is still working diligently and so far we've had very little disruption to the closing time line. Give us a call if you have any questions! 814-616-4166.

We are nearly 3 weeks into the new normal and things are progressing in a relatively normal fashion. Jay and Liz are working remotely and Greg, Laura and Michelle have been able to continue real estate work for Sunrise Closing Services. Everyone we've had to work with has been flexible and accommodating, allowing us to get loans closed on-time! But we do miss seeing our Realtor friends!

Keep in mind that the courthouse will remain closed to the public for a few more weeks. Since title searchers are not county employees, they are not permitted inside the building and must therefore conduct their searches on-line. This process is a little more cumbersome, so the title searches may take a few days longer to process than before. But hang in there, we're still getting closing, we may just need a few extra days!

In compliance with the Governor's mandate, the physical location of our law firm, Sterrett Mott Breski & Shimek, is closed and will remain closed until instructed otherwise. Attorney Jay Shimek and his paralegal, Liz Easly, are working remotely from home. The best way to contact them is via email: [email protected] and [email protected]. We will be checking voice mail only sporadically .

Fortunately, Attorneys Greg Breski and Laura Mott also operate as title insurance agents for a title insurance/closing company, Sunrise Closing Services, LLC. Sunrise will continue working its current real estate files, accepting and processing new files, and closing transactions as permitted by the Governor.
