We are sad to share that Dan Farr passed away peacefully on January 27. He was surrounded by family, visited with dear friends, and cared for well in his last days. His life will be celebrated at 2pm on February 15 at the Enumclaw Expo Field House ("Pete's Pool"), 1456 Roosevelt Ave E, Enumclaw, WA 98022. FLG and the Farr family might not be able to respond to all messages, but we feel and appreciate your support. Thank you.

We may be biased, but we think Enumclaw, Washington is the best city to call home! Enumclaw is home to a collection of local breweries, tasty restaurants, small-town shopping, and great access to many outdoor activities! Here are some of our favorite local outdoor adventures.

⛷️ Crystal Mountain Resort ⎯ This is the largest ski resort in Washington State! Open all year round, you can enjoy hikes, camping, a scenic gondola ride, shopping, and dining. In the winter, you can hit the slopes skiing, snowboarding, and even snowshoeing. You can make it a day trip or a weekend trip! They also have great events happening all year round. Crystal Mountain is about 50 minutes outside of Enumclaw, up SR 410.

🗻 Mount Rainier National Park ⎯ Easily one of the most beautiful places you will ever explore, Mount Rainier National Park is home to breathtaking hikes, showstopping lakes, the most beautiful volcano you will ever lay your eyes on, and scenic views at every turn! It's no wonder Mount Rainier is the star of the Pacific Northwest, but add in all of the incredible sights around it, and you will never run out of things to experience.

🥾 Pinnacle Peak ⎯ A local hike to Enumclaw and a favorite in the area, Pinnacle Peak is a 2-mile hike with a 1000ft elevation gain, serving beautiful views of the White River, old lava flows, Enumclaw, Mount Rainier, and the southern Cascades all from the top of the Pinnacle Peak Fire Lookout. There are two entry points. The South Trail will take you up a gradual, gravel trail that you can hike or mountain bike up. Every once in a while, you may find someone on horseback riding that way, too! The other trail, the Cal Magnusson Trail, serves only hikers and will give you a bit more of a workout. Both trails are beautiful and well-loved by many!
