Specifically, people have been asking to add their wishes to existing planning documents or to get started with the process after having put it off. 𝗙𝗔𝗠𝗜𝗟𝗬 𝗟𝗔𝗪 𝗧𝗥𝗜𝗩𝗜𝗔 𝗠𝗢𝗡𝗗𝗔𝗬: Did you know that it’s not a couple’s finances that affect their chances of divorce, but rather the division of labor? Couples in which the husband doesn’t have a full-time job have a greater likelihood of divorcing and doing so much sooner. Interestingly, it’s only the husband’s employment that makes divorce more likely as the wife’s employment doesn’t much affect the chance of divorce.

𝐖𝐈𝐋𝐋𝐒 & 𝐓𝐑𝐔𝐒𝐓𝐒 𝐓𝐑𝐈𝐕𝐈𝐀 𝐖𝐄𝐃𝐍𝐄𝐒𝐃𝐀𝐘: A “tenancy by the entireties” (TBE) is a special way for spouses to hold real property jointly. TBE has always been a favorite of mine because the main point behind this form of real property ownership is that 𝑐𝑟𝑒𝑑𝑖𝑡𝑜𝑟𝑠 𝑐𝑎𝑛’𝑡 𝑚𝑎𝑘𝑒 𝑐𝑙𝑎𝑖𝑚𝑠 𝑎𝑔𝑎𝑖𝑛𝑠𝑡 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑝𝑟𝑜𝑝𝑒𝑟𝑡𝑦 𝑢𝑛𝑙𝑒𝑠𝑠 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝑑𝑒𝑏𝑡 𝑖𝑠 𝑗𝑜𝑖𝑛𝑡 (𝑖.𝑒., the debt is owed by 𝘣𝘰𝘵𝘩 husband and wife). The thing is, however, that only half the states recognize TBE and Montana isn’t one of them.
