Thank goodness I work with awesome clients! This one was rough; a VA loan assumption with a bank that was EXTRA slow (all banks are slow at assumptions because they hate them, but this bank took it to a new level). These sellers hung in there for 5 EXTRA months to make it happen. Congrats, Autumn! I'm going to miss having you in Enid but am so excited for your next chapter.

(We also had awesome buyers, the buyers' agent was one of the best in town, and as always, Northwest Title put it all together in a way no one else can - thank you!!!!)

Sharing (stealing) this b/c it's so dang cute and b/c I didn't get a pic with my seller this morning. Judi called a month or so back on my listing and I referred her to the very best in town. Alex expertly guided Judi through the process of a sight-unseen purchase, and between the two of us, today we have some very happy sellers, and ecstatic buyer, and one cute pupp-o. Thank you also to Carissa and Jennifer at Guarantee for helping us keep the whole thing on track. What a fun morning!

Anyone who's participated in a VA loan assumption will tell you they are not for the faint of heart....but sometimes they are what it takes to get the job done. Thank you, Esther and Ryan for your kind words and for trusting me to get you through this process and on to your next adventure.

I'd be remiss if I didn't also mention Jessica with Northwest Title - like it or not, she is becoming the assumption expert and an essential element in staying after unenthusiastic lenders and making sure things stay on track.

Amy Clements is a former Air Force officer and a current military spouse. She started selling real estate in 2012 when her husband was stationed at Vance Air Force Base in Enid, Oklahoma. After a tour in England, Amy and her family have returned to Enid where she continues to help other military members and their families buy and sell homes.
