The Sekas Law Group is pleased to announce the addition, on a part time basis, of the Honorable Walter F. Skrod (Ret.) as “of counsel” to the firm.
Judge Skrod served nearly seven (7) years as a New Jersey Superior Court Judge in Bergen County, predominantly in the Civil Division, where he specialized in the jury or bench trial of substantial civil matters. He brings extensive pre-judicial trial, management, and settlement experience to the firm, having litigated and supervised pending civil matters for nearly four (4) decades on behalf of the commercial and personal insureds of Liberty Mutual and GEICO.
Judge Skrod currently practices in the areas of mediation and arbitration, consults with public and private sector clients, and offers guidance to the firm on complex injury and business matters. He also consults on trial presentations and is available to manage litigation as a special master.
Judge Skrod is a graduate of the Rutgers Law School in Newark NJ and holds an undergraduate BA degree from the University of Notre Dame.
