🐾 Building a Safety Net of Connections & Resources 🐾

Did you know that people will often seek help for their pets before seeking help for themselves? At the same time, pets can sometimes create barriers to accessing essential services. This is where collaboration makes all the difference. 💙

By connecting human service organizations with animal welfare groups, we can ensure communities have access to the resources they need—especially in times of crisis or change.
When we share knowledge and strengthen partnerships, we can:

🔗 Build stronger connections between organizations
📋 Provide front-line staff with the information they need to support community members
📂 Develop resource databases to guide people to help quickly
❓ Ask the right questions to better serve both people and their pets

Together, we can create a stronger, more compassionate safety net for Maine’s communities.
