Some homes give you more square footage. 858 Margo Court gives you more ways to enjoy it. Located at the end of a cul-de-sac in Eldersburg Estates, this 4-bedroom, 3.5-bath colonial has the space to host a crowd without losing the warmth that makes a home comfortable on an ordinary Tuesday night. The cul-de-sac has also become a natural gathering spot for neighbors, with room for basketball, co****le, and impromptu outdoor games. Inside, beautiful inlaid hardwood floors immediately set the tone. The main level includes spacious living and dining rooms, while the kitchen features granite countertops, wood cabinetry, stainless steel appliances, and a casual dining area framed by a bay window. The adjoining family room—with its wood-burning fireplace—creates a comfortable place to settle in and provides direct access to the expansive rear deck. And the backyard deserves more than a passing mention. The deck overlooks mature trees, open countryside views, and a swimming pool that is already in place and waiting for next summer. There is room to grill, entertain, relax, or simply sit outside and enjoy the privacy. It feels peaceful and removed, without actually being far from everything. There is a gate at the end of the garden that gives you easy access to the local basketball courts and the playground too. Upstairs, the oversized primary suite offers space to truly spread out, along with a walk-in closet and a fully remodeled private bathroom. The guest bathroom has also been remodeled, and the main-level powder room features updated flooring. The walkout lower level adds another layer of usable space, including a large recreation room with a brick-surround fireplace, a game room, full bathroom, patio access, and generous storage. A two-car garage provides even more room for vehicles, equipment, hobbies, or the things you would rather not keep inside the house. One of the most valuable improvements is hidden behind the walls: all of the original polybutylene plumbing has been completely removed and replaced. That is a significant upgrade and an important distinction from many other homes built in the community. The architectural-shingle roof was replaced in 2020, with additional improvements completed throughout the sellers’ ownership. For eligible veteran buyers, there may also be an opportunity to assume the sellers’ existing VA mortgage at an interest rate of just 2.75%, subject to lender approval, qualification requirements, the remaining loan balance, and all applicable assumption terms. With its private setting, remodeled bathrooms, beautiful hardwood floors, finished walkout lower level, two fireplaces, two-car garage, expansive deck, and pool, 858 Margo Court is not simply a house with more space. It is a home where that space can actually be lived in and enjoyed.

Tucked near the end of quiet Briarwood Road CUL-DE-SAC, away from the CONSTANT traffic noise of Frederick Road, this all-brick end-unit townhome offers three bedrooms, one full bathroom and exceptionally preserved original details. Its end-of-group location provides additional windows that fill the home with natural light and the added benefit of direct exterior access from the front to the rear of the home, along with a peaceful wooded backdrop where no additional development is currently permitted. Built in 1947 and immaculately maintained, the home showcases the quality and craftsmanship of its era alongside several thoughtful updates. Restored original hardwood floors run throughout much of the home, while the plaster walls and ceilings reflect the solid construction of the era. The living room boasts a decorative fireplace with built in bookcases. A large bay window in the dining room and a stylish arched doorway add architectural interest and create a warm, inviting space. The nicely updated kitchen is fully equipped with a full suite of black appliances that include refrigerator, glass-top electric range, dishwasher and microwave. A natural gas connection is also available should the next owner prefer a gas range. Upstairs, all three bedrooms benefit from the additional windows afforded by the end-unit location. The full bathroom beautifully preserves the home’s original style with classic subway tile, original floor tile and vintage hardware, all maintained in remarkable condition. The unfinished basement provides additional storage and plenty of opportunity for a future recreation room, home office, workout area or workshop. Central air conditioning, a gas furnace and an updated 40-gallon gas water heater add to the home’s everyday comfort. Outdoor space is another standout feature. Enjoy the delightful front porch for long evenings with recently replaced custom wrought-iron railings, along with a spacious covered back porch for morning coffee, overlooking the fenced rear yard and wooded surroundings. The large private concrete parking pad, accessed through double gates, provides convenient off-street parking right behind the home. Major improvements include an updated electrical panel and new main roof gutters in 2024. In 2025, the main roof and back porch roof were completely replaced, including new wood sub-decking and 50-year architectural shingles. The roof includes a transferable lifetime warranty on materials and labor. This location makes everyday errands, recreation and commuting remarkably convenient. The Paradise shopping area is nearby, including the beautifully renovated Giant and a wide selection of restaurants, shops and everyday services. The Short Line Trolley Trail, local parks and the shops, restaurants, festivals and community events of vibrant downtown Catonsville are all just a short distance away. The home also provides convenient access to downtown Baltimore, Annapolis, BWI Airport and nearby MARC and Amtrak service, making regional travel and commuting easier. Located in the Catonsville High School district, this meticulously maintained end-unit home combines original craftsmanship, abundant natural light, private parking, inviting outdoor spaces and significant improvements already completed. It is ready for its next owner to move in and make it their own.

WHAT IF YOU’RE CLOSER TO READY THAN YOU THINK?

A different way to think about moving in Maryland.

What if this isn’t the right time to move?
Maybe it isn’t.
But “not today” and “not at all” are two very different things.
Sometimes the first step isn’t putting your house on the market. It’s simply finding out what your home could sell for, what your buying power looks like, and what’s actually available in the Maryland communities you’d consider.
You don’t have to commit to anything to start exploring.

What if this move is too big?
Selling. Buying. Packing. Inspections. Financing. Timing two settlements. Moving trucks. Maybe children, pets, work and approximately 47 other things happening simultaneously.
Taken all at once? It’s a lot.
Taken one decision at a time, with somebody managing the moving pieces?
Much more manageable.

What if it’s exactly the fresh start you need?
More room. Less room. A different school district. A backyard. A condo where somebody else deals with the grass. A town where you can walk to dinner.
A move doesn’t necessarily mean starting over.
Sometimes it means finally creating a home that works better for the life you’re already living.

What if I’m too comfortable to make a change?
Comfort is a perfectly good reason to stay.
But there’s also nothing wrong with occasionally asking:
“If I were choosing today, would I still choose this?”
Your house should fit your life. And lives have a rather inconvenient habit of changing.

What if your next chapter is even better than this one?
You don’t need every answer before you start exploring.
You don’t need to know exactly where you’re moving.
You don’t need your house ready for market.
And you definitely don’t need to make a decision after one conversation.
You just need somewhere to start.

What if I can’t find a home I love?
You probably won’t love every house.
You may not even love the house you thought you were looking for.
The floor plan might change. The neighborhood might change. The “must-have” list usually gets rewritten once you actually start walking through homes.
That’s part of the process, not a sign that you shouldn’t move.
