We wanted to let all of our agents, lenders, affiliates, etc. know about the bulletin we just received.

Maryland Withholding for Nonresidents is set to Increase to 8.75% for Individuals and the Entity Rate will remain the same at 8.25% for the 2026 calendar year.

Due to the inclement weather, Cecil County Government offices will open at 10:00 AM on Monday, 12/15/2025. The Liberal Leave Policy will be in effect for all non-essential employees.

While snow is no longer a concern, low temperatures through Wednesday may create icy conditions. Parking lots and sidewalks will be salted; however, limited melting is expected, and employees are urged to use caution when traveling and walking.

County employees are encouraged to check their email for additional details regarding tomorrow’s operations.

We will continue to monitor conditions and will provide updates to operations if necessary. Please travel safely and stay tuned for further announcements.

We are happy to report that the State Archives will not be moving forward on any new per page or monthly subscriptions. Instead, the State Archives, the Judiciary, members of the General Assembly and most importantly us, the stakeholders, will work together to identify a permanent fix to be introduced during the 2026 legislative session.
The State Archives webpage should be updated by the end of the week removing any reference to new fees and subscriptions
