For the past few weeks, Kaelyn Fillingim and I have been working CRAZY hours on a murder case. There were several times we started to lose faith in the American justice system. Today, our faith in that justice system was renewed when an Elba, Alabama jury found our client and his co-defendant NOT GUILTY of MURDER!

We are terribly saddened by the victim’s loss of life and offer our most sincere condolences to his friends and family.

Hard work and perseverance paid off and justice was done. We couldn’t have done it without our paralegal working tirelessly along with us!

Congratulations are also in order for Chris Stroud and Griffin Shirley for their NOT GUILTY verdict for murder for the co-defendant!

My office hours are Monday through Thursday from 9 am until 4 pm with a 1 hour lunch break at noon. I may be in the office outside those hours, but that doesn’t mean Ashley Luck or I are available unless you have an appointment.

Ashley and I have both been inundated with after-hours messages and calls to our personal cell phones, Facebook accounts, and Snapchat. We will NO LONGER be responding to any messages regarding an open case directed to our personal cell phones, Facebook, Messenger or Snapchat.

We can no longer continue to infringe upon the short hours we get to spend with our families to answer work related calls, texts, messages and snaps.

I am grateful for all of my clients and the opportunity to do a job I truly LOVE, but I MUST manage my time with my family and stress levels or it’s all for naught.
