What Does Generational Wealth Really Look Like?
When we hear “generational wealth,” it’s easy to picture someone leaving their children millions of dollars.
But for most families, that’s not the reality.
Generational wealth can be a home that has been paid off. It can be a retirement account, a small business, an investment account, or life insurance.
It can also be something you can’t put a dollar amount on.
Teaching your kids how to save money.
Showing them how credit works.
Talking to them about investing instead of making money a taboo subject.
Teaching them what to do with an inheritance instead of simply handing them one.
That’s wealth too.
Maybe you didn’t grow up with a financial roadmap. Maybe your parents never talked about money with you. That doesn’t mean you can’t start a different conversation with your own children.
Sometimes generational wealth starts with what you leave behind.
Sometimes it starts with what you teach while you’re still here.
What would you want your children to inherit from you: money, property, financial knowledge, or all three?
Start the conversation. Your family’s financial future could look very different because you did.
