With all the recent changes in US immigration policy, many people who had their cases closed for years by the Immigration Court suddenly had their case reopened without their knowledge and ordered removed without knowing it because they failed to appear in court. If you have an order of removal and you are detained, there is nothing legally that prevents ICE officials from carrying out that removal order, so don't wait until it's too late.
