"Alicia Mendez. My mother-in-law. She died on Oct 20, 2020 from complications of Covid. We made the ofrenda to honor her and to display this ofrenda at my son’s school. He’s an 8th grader at MacArthur PK8 School. He did the ofrenda as part of a project for his Spanish class. It is displayed at the library at his school."
