You have likely noticed a lot of recent National news about the Social Security Administration. My law practice includes representing Claimants who file for Title II Social Security Disability Benefits ("SSDI" or "DIB") and Title XVI Social Security Supplemental Security Income Disability Benefits ("SSI"). I plan to provide some general information about those programs and other disability programs that will hopefully be helpful for moving the ball forward for those with physical and mental impairments who may be eligible for benefits under one or more of the Social Security Administrations disability programs.
A good place to start is by going to the SSA.gov website to set up a "My Social Security Account" online. The Homepage includes a tab entitled "my Social Security." Click on the "Learn about your account," then the "Create an Account" on the new page, and then follow the directions. You will want to use a strong password. Once activated, you will have access to your insured status for the Title II Benefits, your earnings record history, and your estimated retirement benefits.
You are welcome to contact my office if you need any assistance with setting up your account or if you would like to discuss disability benefits.
Wishing everyone the Best as the Social Security Administration moves forward.

When representing clients on claims for disability benefits with the Social Security Administration, I encourage them to set on a "my Social Security Account" on the Social Security Administration's website at https://www.ssa.gov/. Actually, everyone should set up an online Account. You'll need use the "my Social Security Account" tab, supply the needed information, and establish a strong password. Once logged in, you'll be able to see personal earnings, disability, and retirement information, all of which the Social Security Administration used to periodically provide via US mail, including whether you have enough earned quarters for an insured status for Title II Social Security Disability, your estimated Disability Benefit if you're disabled as defined by the Social Security Administration, and your estimated retirement benefits at the early retirement age of 62, your full retirement age depending on your current age, and your delayed benefit if you wait until age 70. It is important to periodically monitor your Account for accuracy. Please feel welcome to contact our office or your local SSA field office if you have any questions.

In the interest of protecting the safety of our clients, the public, our staff, my family and friends, and myself, I received the Pfizer booster over the noon hour today.

I’m hearing that hospitals are reporting an uptick in serious Covid 19 cases of those who received the vaccine months ago, but have not yet received the booster. The CDC advisors today announced support for boosters for all adults, especially for those over 50.

Please do your own review of the CDC news, consult your medical providers, and take efforts to keep others and yourself safe. It is our hope that we can live active lives and take measures to stay safe at the same time.

Godspeed and God Bless!

Some observations and insights from an attorney friend and colleague describing the big picture of ways that the COVID-19 quarantine has impacted the legal practices and lives of attorneys, and certain ways in which attorneys have been able to serve society. Thank you John, colleagues, family, and friends for all you're doing during these challenging times.

One of the unexpected bonuses of our current circumstance is that we have the time to reflect. Indeed, few of us have lived through a time that has had any greater cause to reflect than right now.
