Today is International Women’s Day! There are so many remarkable women throughout history. Sandra Day O’Connor was the first female Supreme Court Justice. She paved the way for future women on the court and we now have three female Supreme Court Justices! When she attended law school in the 1950s, only 2% of law students were women. Today, women outnumber men in law school! Thank you to her and all women who pave the way for future generations!

My Dad got me this Christmas ornament many years ago. It will be three years since he passed this coming March. He was an attorney and judge for many years until he retired. He was even keeled and professional. I read an article yesterday discussing how attorneys are voices for the voiceless and offer hope when times are dark. This is why it’s important for attorneys to have balance. As we approach the new year, I challenge you to think about what might help you achieve balance in your life. If there is anything our office can do to help you navigate a difficult family situation, please reach out.

The holidays are supposed to be a time we spend with friends and family we care about; a time of enjoyment; and a peaceful pause on our often busy lives.
