Attorney Taggart Howard has served on the Eagle County Recovery Court for 9 years. The RISE and Recovery Courts provide treatment and services to people who are facing long term incarceration due to their addiction. These courts are a pathway to a healthy life.

National research into the mental health implications of substance use disorder has caused many courthouses, including those in Eagle County, to think critically about how addiction might breed criminal activity that otherwise would not occur.
