I am bad about not posting on Facebook. However, I MUST post today because there is an attack ad being ran against three of our Supreme Court Justices. The attack ad gives no rational support other than calling them names and making cursory allegations. I have lived in Oklahoma my entire life. I have practiced law for 25 years and know of NO impropriety or scandal involving our current justices and in my opinion the attack on these justices is unfair, unjust, unwarranted and is not in the best interest of Oklahomans. Please vote to retain all current judges.

According to 2020 NHTSA statistics, 32 people in the U.S. die in drunk driving crashes each day. That is one every 45 minutes. In addition to the drunk driver having fault, often times the place that overserved the drunk driver is also responsible. If a thorough investigation is not performed close in time to the collision, evidence will be lost or destroyed and proving fault on the place that overserved the person will be difficult if not impossible. Many times, a person who causes a collision will falsely claim it was beyond their control and they are not legally responsible. An example is a recent case I handled where the defendant claimed his brakes suddenly didn't work. However, because I was hired early, I was able to have the car examined and the electronic data downloaded from the black box inside the car before they could dispose of the car. All of this evidence proved his brakes were working fine. I cannot stress the importance of preserving evidence after a crash. Did you know that since 2013 most vehicles have "black boxes" that contain information showing the speed a car was traveling, if someone applied their brakes, when they started to apply their brakes, how long they applied their brakes, whether the car slowed before impact, what air bags deployed etc.... Our law firm has successfully recovered black box data on many cases where it was needed to prove beyond any reasonable doubt the other driver was at fault or where the other driver lied to try to avoid responsibility. According to the latest data posted by the U.S. Department of Transportation, most deaths in large truck crashes are passenger vehicle occupants. There are many reasons for this including that trucks weigh 20-30 times more than the passenger cars, are taller with greater ground clearance resulting in cars going under trucks, and loaded tractor trailers take 20- 40 percent farther than cars to stop.
