📍 Wondering if your Power of Attorney or Health Care Proxy will work outside your home state?

Good news! If your Durable Power of Attorney (POA) and Health Care Proxy (HCP) were validly created under New York law, they will still be valid in other states when someone needs to make financial or medical decisions on your behalf.

Traveling or spending long periods in another state? You might consider speaking with an estate planning attorney about documents tailored to that state especially to make things easier for your agents in an emergency.
